Heartland Community Theatre is in its eleventh year. It
was incorporated in 1997 and is a 501(c)(3) not for
profit organization. Joicie Appell is its founder and artistic
director.
Joicie Appell has directed more than 20 Heartland
Community Theatre productions. She continues an
award winning 60+ year professional acting career. She
has appeared in several productions for the New
Theatre Restaurant in Overland Park. In addition she
has appeared in productions for the American Heartland
Theatre at Crown Center. She has made over 100 radio
and television commercials, appeared in numerous
movies, and was in the cast for Soap Opera "Guiding
Light".

Clell Stephenson - Director
Clell Stephenson has been involved in high school and
community theatre for more than 30 years. Clell taught
high school theatre for more than 20 years, and for 17
years was the speech and debate coach for Clinton High
School. He started directing productions for Heartland in
Spring 2005.
